A sharply lighter month
15,757 entities is the lowest monthly print in our 18-month series — well below the ~27–33k range of recent months. Read the trend section for context before citing.
Maharashtra still sets the pace
Maharashtra led with 1,878 companies, ahead of Uttar Pradesh (1,237) and Delhi (1,021). The South contributed roughly a quarter of national formations.
Tech & trade dominate

The compliance clock starts at incorporation
Every one of the 11,021 companies registered this month now has statutory deadlines running. Miss them and penalties compound daily — here are the first three that matter.
INC-20A · Commencement
Declaration of business commencement. Without it, the company cannot borrow or begin operations, and directors face penalties.
ADT-1 · Auditor appointment
The first auditor must be appointed by the board and intimated to the ROC. Late filing carries escalating additional fees.
AOC-4 & MGT-7 · Annual filing
Financials and annual return to the ROC. ₹100/day per form with no cap — the single most common source of avoidable penalties.
